Jim Donovan, S.J.

 

Jim Donovan, S.J. is a New York Province Jesuit and is currently studying for his Master of Divinity degree at the Jesuit School of Theology in preparation for priestly ordination. Jim entered the Society of Jesus in 2004 and took Perpetual Vows in 2006. Afterwards, he spent two years studying philosophy and theology at Fordham University. Following studies at Fordham, Jim taught chemistry and theology at Regis High School in New York City. Jim’s other pastoral experiences have included hospital chaplaincy, prison ministry and retreat and spiritual direction. Prior to becoming a Jesuit, Jim taught high school science in the New York Metropolitan area for many years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from LeMoyne College, and Master’s degrees from Fordham University and Hofstra University.
