Suzanne Doran

Suzanne Doran is a Bay Area native and has lived in the Piedmont Ave-nue neighborhood since 1995. Suzanne works as office manager for Lo-cal 34 of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union. Growing up in San Francisco during the 1970’s and 80’s, Suzanne witnessed the com-mitment to Christ’s message of peace and justice that she encountered in Catholics she met through the sanctuary and peace movements, and these experiences made a deep and lasting impression that led her to the Church as an adult. Suzanne went through the RCIA at St. Joseph the Worker parish in Berkeley where she later served as a catechist and an RCIA sponsor. Suzanne, her husband Matthew, and sons Patrick, 12, and Frankie, 11, have been St. Leo’s parishioners since 2009. Both Patrick and Frankie are students at St Leo the Great School, which they have at-tended since kindergarten and pre-K.
