Charles Bucher, Jr.

Charles was born and grew up in Berkeley and attended the School of the Madeleine at St. Mary Magdalen’s Parish in North Berkeley. After attending college at UC Berkeley, he began attending Church at Newman Hall, near the Berkeley campus. He subsequently went to Washington State University for architecture school. He lived in Seattle for nearly six years after graduation. He moved to Oakland in 2006, being attracted by the busy Piedmont Avenue neighborhood. After experimenting with a number of other possible parishes, Charles has settled in to regular attendance at St. Leo’s. He currently works in downtown Oakland for Muller & Caulfield Architects.
